Alice and me at Foreign Cinema in San Francisco. I just finished my internship as her assistant, and am now in Paris for the next 4 months working for Ernst and Young. My brief tenure at Chez Panisse was really great - at times it could get really intense in both the office and the kitchen, however, and whether or not you were involved in the action ... you could feel the tension. A lot of fun people work there. Really, a one-of-a-kind experience.

C'est fabuleux, Karen! Je suis ravie que tu as eu cette occasion chez Chez Panisse! En fait, je suis jalouse. Amuse-toi bien a Paris!
What a beautiful picture of you, Karen! I'm glad that you had such a great experience. We must plan a family reunion soon (with EVERYONE there) and have a huge feast with you in charge of the menu! It would be so delicious! Hope your experience at Ernst and Young is equally fulfilling. Love you!
Karen, you amaze me with your ability to seek out these amazing experiences! Good for you, I'm glad that you enjoyed it. And...isn't that me on the far right of the photo? I'm cool enough to go to the Foreign Cinema right?
That's hilarious! That girl does look like Leigh!
ha ha - a friend of mine from work. Hope is her name. She works with the wine at Chez Panisse. Leigh - who looks at the background of photos?! But now that you mention it, you are right - it does look like you.
